Gretchen was at a retreat Friday night through this afternoon, so I have had Briana and Alex by myself. Along with last Friday night (she was at an Ohio School Counselor's Assocation board meeting), this is the 1st time I have had them without her help. I have had Briana many times over the years, but adding Alex is definitely a challenge. Briana has been a huge help with her little brother. It's been a pretty uneventful weekend. Most importantly, the kids are still alive (Gretchen's final instructions for me)!

In early April, I will be at a conference in Ft. Worth for 5 days, then in late May I will be in Toronto for 5 more days, so Gretchen will have the kids by herself. I don't worry about her - she does fine alone (I do worry when I'm alone). Finally, I was just asked this week to deliver a keynote address in Korea in September. All expenses are paid and one of their universities is bringing me in a day early to speak to their students (and giving me a little extra cash do to so). Because of the time difference (they are 14 hours ahead of us) and the travel time (it will take close to 24 hours to get there), I am going to be gone around a week. My 3 nights alone does not compare to what she has coming up the rest of the year.
